Fire Destroys Four Mobile Homes In Sapulpa

Investigators are looking into what sparked a fire that destroyed four mobile homes Monday afternoon near South 161st West Avenue and West 91st Street in Sapulpa.

The trailers were vacant, and Fire Chief Dannie Whitehouse said it could have been a lot worse.

"Luckily, no one was hurt," Whitehouse said. "Nobody lost their homes and is going to need to find some other accommodations tonight."

Whitehouse says the fire spread through the tall dry grass. He reminds all of us that the fire danger is still high even though we've had some rain recently.
