Professional soccer is coming back to Tulsa.

The team's owner introduced the Tulsa Revolution Thursday. It's indoor soccer, and home games will be played at the Tulsa Convention Center starting in November.

They say indoor or arena soccer is a more fan friendly game, with six players per side and boards and Plexiglas around the field, like a hockey rink.

The walls are in play and there's a penalty box, also like hockey.

The Revolution will play in the Professional Arena Soccer League.

Tulsa will be the 20th team, with the closest opponent in Allen, Texas.

The team's owner tried this idea back in 2007, but the league folded after the first year.

He's hoping for better results in try number two.

"Bringing soccer back to Tulsa on a professional level just kind of makes sense right now, with the PSL," said owner Adam Mellor. "It's a good time, especially with the youth and the way the youth is going with the youth organizations that are coming in. It makes a lot of sense for us to be in right now."

The league is really hit or miss in terms of attendance. Dallas has the attendance record with 5,900 fans, but the league average is less than one thousand a game.
