Out with the old and in with the new, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation blew up the old Blue Bridge on Highway 28, on the way to Grand Lake, Friday.
A viewer shared video of the demolition with us. You can see the new bridge in the foreground.
ODOT said crews built it on a new alignment, in part, because the old truss style is just a lot harder to widen.
The old Blue Bridge was over Big Cabin Creek, just southwest of Pensacola. It'd been there since 1939.
Crews will spend another month wrapping up the project, which cost nearly $8 million.
