Tahlequah Grandma Of Toddler Burned In Meth Lab Faces $8M Federal Fine

The grandmother of a toddler reportedly burned from meth lab chemicals in a Tahlequah home was arraigned in federal court in Muskogee on drug charges on Thursday.

Brenda Vann, 54, and two others from Tahlequah -- Lisa Creech, 23, and Andrew Braddock, 20 -- are facing federal charges of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, manufacture of methamphetamine, endangering human life while illegally manufacturing controlled substances and manufacture of methamphetamine on premises where children are present or reside.

The federal indictment alleges the trio manufactured 50 grams or more of methamphetamine between August 2012 and January 2013.

Vann was arrested February 1, 2013 by Cherokee County authorities.

State court records show Vann has a court hearing in Cherokee County court April 1, 2013 on charges of child neglect, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance, endeavoring to manufacture a controlled and dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The toddler was treated and released from the hospital.

Lisa Creech and Andrew Braddock are not charged in state court.

A news release says Vann faces 40 years in a federal prison and an $8 million fine if convicted.
