Governor Mary Fallin will release emails on Friday explaining her decision to turn down $54 million in under the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare.
The money was intended to create a health care exchange. Because of Fallin's decision, the federal government will step in to create the exchange.
Fallin claimed executive privilege in withholding the emails and said the thousands of pages of documents would take time to produce. Her decision to release them comes a day after the ACLU threatened to sue for violating the Open Records Act.
