A Tulsa man died Monday evening after his car crashed head-on into a pickup truck in Muskogee County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened on state Highway 16 about 3 miles south of Haskell just after 6 p.m.

Troopers say Jeremy Norwalk, 31, was eastbound in his 2002 Pontiac 4 door when he crossed over the center line and struck a westbound 2012 Nissan pickup truck driven by Jonathan Duncan, 24, of Edmond.

The OHP report says Norwalk was pronounced dead at the scene and Duncan was taken first to a Muskogee hospital, then transferred to a Tulsa hospital.

Norwalk was pinned in the wreckage for about 40 minutes.

Troopers say both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
