DEQ: Gauge Containing Radioactive Material Recovered

A gauge containing radioactive material was recovered over the weekend. It had been stolen from the back of a pickup truck near Ponca City on Thursday.

The Department of Environmental Quality said the gauge was found by a citizen, securely locked and intact.

The DEQ said it could have posed a health risk, had it been unlocked.
