Runners Celebrate Holiday With Tulsa's Firecracker 5k

More than 1,300 runners started Independence Day with a different kind of boom.

Fleet Feet Sports hosted its annual Firecracker 5k and one-mile fun run downtown.

The race raises money for the Army Aviation Association of America.

News On 6 Anchors Chera Kimiko and Jennifer Loren were part of the race, as was one of our producers, Kyle Weeks.

There were some celebrities in attendance, as well. Tulsa native, actress and model Amber Valletta ran the 5k and Jeanne Tripplehorn, also from Tulsa, watched as her son participated.
