A Tulsa woman was taken hostage from her home and forced by three males to drive to an ATM early Saturday morning, police said.

The woman told police one person held her at gunpoint and told her to drive her vehicle to a Kum & Go, located at 2502 N. Harvard Ave. He left his gun in her vehicle and followed her into the convenience store while two others waited in a getaway car, TPD Officer Clifford Caughron said.

The woman was able to alert a security guard at the store, who called police and was able to scare the men into leaving, police said.

The call from the security guard came into police dispatch at 5:30 a.m.

The suspects were able to get money from the victim's purse, but they were unsuccessful in their attempt at the ATM, according to Caughron.

The gun was retrieved from the woman's car by investigators.

Neither a description of the getaway car nor of the suspects was immediately available, police said.
