Cherokee Nation Attorney General Todd Hembree released some scathing remarks directed at native-Oklahoman and TV's "The Locator," Troy Dunn.

Hembree said Dunn and his TV crew were asked to leave Cherokee Nation school premises by Cherokee Nation Marshals Thursday.

A spokesperson for the South Carolina couple, Matt and Melanie Capobianco, said Dunn had determined Dusten Brown's whereabouts and went there and delivered a note to Cherokee Nation Marshals. According to that spokesperson, Brown received the note and responded with, "I'm not interested in talking."

Dunn stood next to the Capobiancos during a news conference in Tulsa Wednesday, and asserted himself as a facilitator in their custody battle with their adopted daughter's biological father, Brown.

"My challenge is to attempt to make this all stop and to bring some level of closure to two families who love the same little girl," Dunn said during the news conference Wednesday.

Hembree called into question Dunn's bona fides as a counselor or mediator, saying "he has proven himself not to be a neutral party in this matter, has made inflammatory statements to the media and has publicly posted degrading comments about Veronica's real father, Dusten Brown."

The Cherokee Nation AG said of Dunn, "his antics are inappropriate and dangerous."

Dunn has appeared several times on the Dr. Phil Show and had his own show on WeTV. He has been working with the South Carolina family for a little more than a year.

Wednesday, Dunn said he hoped to have a meeting with Dusten Brown.

Brown's attorneys say that will not be happening under any circumstances.

Hembree said, "We all want to see an amicable resolution to the Veronica Brown impasse. Sadly, Troy Dunn's theatrics are a distraction to this very difficult issue."

However, Brown's attorneys say they have reached out to the Capobiancos to arrange a meeting between both sides and Veronica.

The Capobiancos' spokesperson says the couple did receive that request, but the meeting hasn't been set yet.
