Semi Hauling Crushed Cars Tips Over On Tulsa IDL

A semi carrying a load of crushed cars overturned on the IDL Wednesday during rush hour traffic. The truck failed to make the curve entering southbound U.S. Highway 75 from the eastbound Sand Springs Expressway just before 8 a.m.

The truck was on its side while crews from the Tulsa Fire Department and Storey Wrecker work to clear it from the on-ramp.

Tulsa Police, firefighters and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers were at the scene. They directed traffic around the semi on the access road, and the wreck did not affecting traffic on Highway 75.

EMSA says the 33-year-old driver was taken to the hospital in fair condition.
