Last Of 6 Convicted In Fort Gibson Teen's Murder Sentenced

The last of six teenagers convicted in the murder of a Fort Gibson teen was sentenced to life in prison.

17-year-old Ryan Satterfield was visiting friends in Muskogee the day before Thanksgiving in 2011, when six boys showed up to rob them.

Satterfield was shot and killed.

"The six boys, their families are grieving for them, because they're behind bars and they don't get to spend any time that's not supervised," said Ryan's mother, Michelle Satterfield. "My time spent with Ryan is at the cemetery. At least I'm at peace, knowing he'll never be hurt again."

Frederick Watson, Jr., 20, will get the chance for parole, but it won't come until he's 58 years old.

The five other men have already been sentenced. Tommy Dean was sentenced to life behind bars with the possibility of parole. Troy Dufur was sentenced 20 years with 10 years suspended and Jordan and Martin Miller were given 30 years with 15 years suspended. Deandre Clark was sentenced to life in prison.
