Crews in LeFlore County Thursday found the body of an Arkansas man whose flight went missing Monday, CBS-affiliate in Fort Smith, KFSM reports.

Ray Broadbent, 71, of Heber Springs, Arkansas was reported missing Tuesday to the Federal Aviation Administration, after his wife said he didn't check into his hotel in Elk City, Oklahoma. Broadbent, a real estate agent and a former commercial pilot, was flying his single-engine plane from Searcy, Arkansas, to Oklahoma to close a deal on a house, his wife said.

The plane and Broadbent's body were found in LeFlore County, on the border of Pushmataha County.

LeFlore County deputies, Civil Air Patrol, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and volunteers from local fire departments assisted in the search in the air and on the ground, KFSM reports.

News of Broadbent's disappearance came the same day crews discovered that a Pryor couple was killed in a plane crash in rural northwest Arkansas. They were also flying in a single-engine aircraft, intended for Oklahoma, on Monday afternoon.

Investigators will determine whether rain in the area on Monday had anything to do with either of the crashes.
