Students and faculty at Oklahoma State University have a few new four-legged friends roaming around campus.

"Charlie" and "Evie" are both shepherd mixes, who are also rescue dogs that are now in therapy dog training. The dogs are part of "Pete's Pet Posse."

The University hopes to have as many as 10 therapy dogs fully trained and certified by early next year. They will be stationed all over campus, and their only mission is to make people feel more at home at OSU.

"Our Vet School has been great and has been able to provide basic wellness," said Program Volunteer Lorinda Schurammel. "And we have a sponsor who's giving us dog food."

Because of the number of volunteers and the level of donations, the University says the program costs them nothing.
