Firefighters rescued a woman from her burning car after she crashed on the Turner Turnpike Thursday night.

Troopers said the wreck occurred just east of the Kellyville exit at about 11:40 p.m.

The OHP says the driver was westbound when she lost control of her Chrysler which ran off the road and rolled onto its top. The car's engine then caught fire.

The driver was pinned in the wreckage until being freed by the Sapulpa Fire Department.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the woman was taken to a hospital with an ankle injury.

Troopers are still investigating the cause of the crash.
