Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office Captures Double Shooting Suspect

The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office apprehended a convicted felon believed to have shot two people at a rural home southwest of Okmulgee early Wednesday.

The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office has apprehended a man believed to have shot two people at a rural home southwest of Okmulgee early Wednesday.

The sheriff's office said the shooting occurred in the 19700 block of Sharp Road at about 6:30 a.m.

Andrew Eversole, 24, was taken into custody at about 1 p.m., according to a news release. He was booked into the Okmulgee County Jail on two counts of shooting with intent to kill and possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony.

Sheriff Eddie Rice has not released any details about the shootings.

Both victims were taken to an Okmulgee hospital before being transferred to a Tulsa hospital. There is no word on their conditions.

Sheriff Rice thanked the Okmulgee County District Attorney's Office and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for their help in the investigation and arrest.
