The latest survey shows Hofmeister with 41.7 percent and Barresi with 19.5 percent. Brian Kelly had 14.1 percent, while nearly one in four likely Republican voters, 24.7 percent, are still undecided.

A candidate needs to get more than 50 percent of the votes cast in the June 24 primary to avoid a runoff. The winner of the Republican primary will meet a Democrat in the Nov. 4 general election.

Our latest poll indicates Democrat Freda Deskin has 26.2 percent with a slight lead over John Cox with 19.4 percent. Ivan Holmes has 8.6 percent, Jack Herron has 2.9 percent. The largest number of likely voters, 42.8 percent, are still undecided on the Democrat side.

The Republican poll has a sample of 840 likely voters and a margin of error of plus or minus 3.38 percentage points. The Democrat poll has a sample size of 781 likely voters and a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
