The man police identified as a suspect in seven of the eight sexual assaults in Tulsa over recent weeks is no stranger to criminal activity.
Desmond Campbell was actually just released from prison in April, and the crimes he committed also involved women.
According to the Department of Corrections, the 30 year old has been to prison twice: Once for an attempted robbery conviction in 2002 and for attempted kidnapping in 2006. Both were in Oklahoma County.
According to court documents News On 6 obtained from Oklahoma County, both incidents involved women who were alone in businesses when they were attacked.
During the attempted kidnapping, Campbell repeatedly harassed the woman, ultimately trying to force her into a building, claiming to have a knife and throwing her to the ground.
She told investigators Campbell would have raped her had she not fought with him and screamed until he ran.

Oklahoma City Police quickly arrested Campbell, who was convicted and served almost six years of a 10-year sentence.
Campbell's Facebook page said he lives in Tulsa but is from Lawton. Several "selfies" were posted on June 16, in the middle of the sexual assault investigation, with the caption, "just so you don't forget what I look like."
In the Facebook photos, Campbell has several tattoos, including an image of a naked woman on his biceps.

All but two of Campbell's Facebook friends are women, one of them claiming to be his girlfriend, and whose page said she also lives in Tulsa.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Campbell is not out on parole.
The director of the Pardon and Parole board said Campbell was denied parole in 2012. At that time, he was on a Serious Incident Report, which means he had three or more reports of misconduct from prison within the year.
We reached out to the Department of Corrections to see exactly why Campbell was released early, but haven't received that information.
