The shopping cart may be Oklahoma's most well-known inventions, but just east of the metro there's one invention anyone can use as well. It's gardening made easy.
"Yeah, that's our little catchphrase we're turning brown thumbs green," said Larry Pierce, Inventor of Garden Anywhere Box.
For seven years, Pierce has harvested the benefits of his Garden Anywhere Box.
"The corn is as high as an elephant's eye," said Pierce.
Not just corn, but squash, pumpkins, tomatoes, eggplants and peppers, most by the hundreds. And now his secret garden has sprouted into a business.

"This has been really nice to share this with people so they can garden again," said Pierce.
Years ago, Pierce grew tired of maintaining his regular garden in the squelching summer heat.
"I'd spent so much time weeding. You know you weed it, till it, weed it," said Pierce.
So he gardened out of a box, then the other half of this mom and pop operation got tired of watering and wasting water in the process.
"We were watering them individually by hand and it was taking her over an hour a day," said Pierce.
Pierce took care of that.
"I never thought of myself as an inventor until I did the watering system," said Pierce.
A self-watering system that Pierce compares to a river flowing under the boxes and the veggies can suck up whatever water they need.
"You can't over water," said Pierce.
Throw in some potting mix and other materials, top it off with a black bag and Pierce feels he's planted the future of gardening by possibly taking this idea to places like third world countries.
"I never dreamed I grow tomatoes so big," said Pierce.
