A woman was critically injured in a multi-vehicle crash that may have involved a driver under the influence of alcohol, according to Tulsa Police. It happened at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on 71st Street between Elwood Avenue and the Arkansas River bridge.
Corporal Jason Muse said three vehicles were involved in the collision. A driver headed eastbound on 71st Street drifted over the center line and struck a westbound car on the driver's side, police say. The wrong-way driver then reportedly hit another vehicle.
The roadway was blocked for over four hours as emergency personnel responded.

Five people in all were taken to the hospital, the other four in what police believed to be non-life threatening condition.
Muse said the woman who was critically injured was in the car that was struck first by the suspected drunk driver. Police are waiting for blood tests to come back to confirm the at-fault driver's condition, he said.
Two women in a car that drove through the barricades into the crash scene were taken into custody for alcohol-related offenses, Muse said. They weren't involved in the wreck, but police say the car came close to hitting first responders.
