OHP: Rider Injured In Osage County Deer-Motorcycle Crash

A motorcycle rider was flown to a Tulsa hospital after he collided with a deer on an Osage County highway early Tuesday according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

A motorcycle rider was flown to a Tulsa hospital after he collided with a deer on an Osage County highway early Tuesday according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. 

Troopers said the collision occurred on Highway 11 just east of the intersection with Highway 123 at 6:53 a.m. 

The OHP says James Hendrix, 56, of Avant, who was headed west on Highway 11 was riding a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle.  

Troopers said he is listed in critical condition with head and internal injuries. Troopers said Hendrix was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
