Semi Catches Fire, Closes Eastbound Turner Turnpike Near Sapulpa

The Oklahoma Highway Patrols has shut down eastbound Turner Turnpike near Sapulpa due to a semi that caught fire.

Viewer video shows the semi off the road in the center median. It appears the fire is near the back end of the semi.

OHP diverted traffic at the Creek Turnpike.

They said the outside lane will remain closed until 11:00 Wednesday evening for Sooner Remediation to work on the cleanup of the burnt semi.

OHP also said at 10:00 Thursday morning the outside lane will shut back down so debris removal can be completed.
