The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a crash which killed a Beggs woman on Highway 16 in Okmulgee County Thursday afternoon.

Troopers said a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer was headed east when its driver, Patches Campbell, 21, drove off the road, overcorrected and rolled the SUV an unknown of times before striking a telephone pole. The OHP says Campbell was thrown from the Trailblazer and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers, an 18-month female and a 3-year-old male survived. Both were taken to an Okmulgee hospital where they were treated and released.

The troopers' report stated Campbell was not wearing her seat belt and child restraints were "not properly" in use by the two passengers.

The crash happened at 12:36 p.m. Thursday just west of County Road 120 on Highway 16.
