Tulsa Woman Arrested In Shooting, Robbery At Garage Sale

Tulsa Police arrested a 19-year-old Tulsa woman they say beat and robbed a woman holding a garage sale in north Tulsa on Saturday, November 29, 2014.

Police arrested Allicia Baily Love near the home in the 1600 block of North Evanston Avenue, after the victim was shot in a struggle.

Officers say Love and a man went to the garage sale and robbed the woman who lived there, taking about $200 in cash. Love admitted to police that she knocked the woman to the floor and hit her while her companion took the money from a cash bag, according to an arrest report.

The woman's 3-year-old daughter was home, and the victim reportedly asked Love to stop hitting her in front of the child.

When the robbers let her up, police say the victim took a handgun from her back waistband and pointed it at them. The man grabbed the gun and struggled with the victim. Two shots were fired, one striking the victim in the hand, the report states.

Police say the male robber took the gun and left with Love. The homeowner ran for help to the house next door. Police said Love showed up at the house and apologized, trying to hug the child who witnessed the shooting.

The husband of the victim contacted News On 6 and disputed that, saying Love never apologized for what she did.

Police arrested Love a short time later about a block from the scene of the robbery and shooting. They haven't found the male robber.
