Police: Driver Killed When Truck Hits Building Near Beggs

The Beggs Police Department says one person is dead and another is in the hospital after a crash in Okmulgee County early Wednesday. 

The crash happened on Highway 75-A at about 4 a.m. north of Beggs. 

Officers said the driver of a pickup headed south was going too fast, lost control on a curve, hit a sign and then crashed into a building. They said the the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A medical helicopter flew the passenger to a Tulsa hospital. 

No one was in the building at the time of the crash.
