Crews Battle Grass Fire Between Sand Springs,Sapulpa

Firefighters battled a grass fire between Sapulpa and Sand Springs on Saturday afternoon.

The fire encompassed the area between 91st Street South and West 86th Street South near Highway 97.

Homes were in the area but weren't in danger, and crews kept busy with hot spots, officials said.

Police redirected northbound traffic at Highway 97 and 91st Street for a while.
