A six-inch water main break in east Tulsa sent water shooting 60 to 70 feet into the air early Wednesday and damaged a home.
The break occurred in the 12300 block of East 39th Street just after 4 a.m. Water from the break shot across the street where it hit a house. It also caused a muddy mess in the street in front of the home.
City of Tulsa water department workers closed a valve to stop the flow.
The homeowner told News On 6 he heard a loud noise and looked outside to see a geyser of water shooting at his home.
The good news is that the break happened in a residential area and only impacted those living nearby.
