Tulsa Police arrested a man Monday afternoon who fled as officers attempted to stop him for speeding.
Officers said Jerry Newman, 22, was driving a stolen 2013 GMC Yukon when he took off at a speeds reaching 90 mph. Police said the Yukon crashed a short time later at Admiral and College. They said Newman got out and ran but was arrested a few blocks away.
Inside the Yukon officers found several items recently stolen from an ATF agent's vehicle in Sapulpa.
Jail records show Jerry Newman was being held on complaints of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, eluding, hit and run, driving under suspension and speeding.
He was being held in the Tulsa County jail in lieu of a $22,900 bond with a court appearance set for February 2, 2015.
