Thousands of people are getting free dental care in downtown Tulsa Friday. The two-day event is the 6th annual "Mission of Mercy" sponsored by the Oklahoma Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Foundation and Delta Dental of Oklahoma's Oral Health Foundation.

Doors opened at 5 a.m. Friday at the Cox Business Center at 100 Civic Center.

Organizers expect more than 2,000 people to visit the center Friday and Saturday.

The center has been turned into a fully-functional dental facility where patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis.

Organizers say patients will be asked to fill out a health history. They will then be diagnosed before receiving treatment. Volunteer dentists will then do cleaning, fillings, extractions and root canals.

If you cannot make it downtown on Friday, the "Mission of Mercy" will open the doors again at 5 a.m. Saturday.

Lines are expected to start forming Friday evening.
