Bristow Fire Chief Recovering After Dangerous Explosion

Bristow's fire chief has a broken neck, broken jaw and damaged eye sockets after an accident at work.

Chief David McSpadden was working on a tanker truck that hadn't been driven in six months. He thought he smelled acid, popped the hood, and something exploded in his face.

McSpadden is in a Tulsa hospital and expected to recover.

The state fire marshal is investigating with the fire department, but as of now, they are unsure of what caused the explosion.
