Two Rescued In Bryan County Boat Explosion

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Friday, at the Johnson Creek Recreation Area when a boat operated by Eric Henry, 35, exploded while in about 42 ft. of water.

Henry and the only passenger, his 2-year-old son, were thrown into the water. Both were wearing life jackets and were attempting to reach the shore when emergency crews arrived.

The two were uninjured.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation at this time.
