Haskell School Principal Found Dead In Home

School board officials in Haskell confirm that the high school principal has died.

Erin Jones was found deceased in her home, according to School Board President John Dillingham It's believed Jones, 38, died of natural causes.

"It will be a huge loss for our school system," Dillingham said. "She's been our principal for around five years, our high school principal."

Jones was a teacher at Haskell Public Schools prior to a break working at Bixby. She then returned to Haskell as the principal.

Sister Shannon Mitchell said Jones' death was unexpected and devastating for family and colleagues.

"She was a beautiful person and had a passion for education," Mitchell said.

The family is making service arrangements on Monday, Mitchell said.
