Warrant Issued For Suspect In Tulsa Motel Killing

Tulsa Police have an arrest warrant for a suspect in a fatal shooting at a motel earlier this week.

Police are looking for Roderick Whiteside, 25. They say he's a suspect in the murder of Cedrick Gilmer, 27, early Tuesday morning.

Police believe Gilmer went to a party at the Studio 6 Motel at 8181 East 41st Street Monday night after posting on Facebook that he had large amount of cash. Someone at the party contacted Whiteside, police say, who went to the party with at least one other man to rob Gilmer. They say Gilmer was shot during a struggle and died at the hospital.

Homicide detectives believe they've identified a second suspect and are working towards getting enough evidence to charge him. They're not releasing his identity yet.

Tulsa Police are still looking for the Gold 2000s Chevy Tahoe they believe the killers used that night.
