Republican State Representative Kevin Calvey said the Oklahoma State Supreme court has a liberal elitist bias, and and he said, "These Supreme Court justices are nothing more than politicians in black robes, masquerading as objective jurists. This ruling is the Court engaging in judicial bullying of the people of Oklahoma."
Another Republican lawmaker State Representative Mike Sanders said, "This is pure evil winning in our state and our country," which was his opinion on both the State Supreme Court ruling and the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage.
This group of 11 Republican lawmakers said in the next legislative session they would to work to impeach those seven justices and also work to reduce the influence of the Oklahoma Bar Association which they claim has too much say on who sits on the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
