An Oklahoma City woman was arrested after police said she broke into a tattoo shop and then became trapped inside early Wednesday morning.
According to police, at about 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the report of a burglary at a tattoo shop in the 6700 block of N.W. 10th. The caller, who lives in an apartment right next to the shop, told police that the suspect broke into the shop through the attic.
When officers arrived, they saw the suspect, 28-year-old Ashley Bailey, inside the tattoo shop. Police said Bailey could not get out because the doors were locked, and she could not get back into the attic.
The owner of the shop came to the scene and opened the doors. Bailey was then arrested on a complaint of second-degree burglary.
According to police, the shop sustained damage to a window and the ceiling area. Some property inside the business was also destroyed. The owner said he had warned Bailey not to come to the shop in the past.
