An Oklahoma woman was rewarded when she stayed up late to watch the Perseid meteor shower Wednesday night.
LaGena Gamble said she snapped a photo of a meteor from her home in Rose, Oklahoma, a small community in Mayes County.
Gamble said she took the photo at 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 using an HD Pro camera.
She shared the photo on the News On 6 Facebook page.
"I saw two more that looked like Roman candles but couldn't get to them quick enough. It was in a word: amazing," she wrote.
She said she used no filters and did not enhance the image in any way.
"Missed two others that had bright blue on their tails," she said.
