Sequoyah County authorities say a man found unconscious this week has now died and another man has been arrested for second-degree murder.

Homicide investigators say the 31-year-old victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition on Tuesday night after he was found on a garage floor at a Lake Tenkiller home.

Sheriff Ron Lockhart said that the man appeared to have suffered trauma to the face and head.

Deputies said they found a 23-year-old man nearby and arrested him on public intoxication complaint. By Wedensday afternoon, Lockhart said the complaint had been upgraded to second-degree murder.

The sheriff’s office has not released the name of the man arrested.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the case.
