Police arrested two teens they say stole merchandise from a Tulsa Walmart store early Tuesday.

Officers said when they got to the store near 111th and Memorial just before 12:30 a.m. employees pointed to two teenagers running east. Police caught up with the pair and recovered a backpack one of them dropped as they were being chased.

Officers said Brandon Parada, 19, admitted to dropping the backpack during the foot chase. Police said they found less than $500 in merchandise stolen from the store in the backpack.

They booked Parada and the other teen into the Tulsa County jail on larceny and obstructing complaints. Police also arrested a third teenager for outstanding warrants and a curfew violation.
