Storm chaser Von Castor was in Stillwater for the parade when tragedy struck. He said the car that crashed into the Homecoming crowd did so near the end of the parade route, at Main and Hall of Fame.
That's just down the street from T. Boone Pickens stadium, in the heart of the OSU campus. In seconds, the scene went from a celebration to chaos, with men, women and children injured in the street.
"A car barreled through barricades and into the crowd where the parade was ending," Castor said. "It was an absolute horrible scene. I don't know what the fatality count is, but I did see two fatalities.
"It brought me to tears," he said.

During the midst of the horrific scene, Castor said he saw emergency personnel and bystanders rushing to help the injured. Eight medical helicopters responded to the scene with law enforcement and medics from surrounding areas.
But it wasn't just first responders who helped. People gave first aid as they could to those who were injured.
"It was heartbreaking to see what happened, but it was awesome to see how people pulled together," Castor said.
