Former Oklahoma State running back and current Dallas Cowboy Joseph Randle is facing a possible suspension from the NFL, stemming from some problems he ran into in the offseason.
Randle was arrested in February for a domestic violence incident. He never faced criminal charges, but the NFL is still investigating on their own. There’s a chance Randle could only have to pay a fine for the incident, but ESPN reported it’s more likely he’ll be suspended multiple games.
David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reported on Wednesday that Randle skipped a treatment session and left the team facility after losing the starting job to Darren McFadden, who rushed for 159 yards and touchdown in the Cowboys loss to the New York Giants on Sunday.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett told reporters that Randle reported to practice on Wednesday and went some through drills on the side while nursing his strained oblique that he hurt on his second carry of Sunday’s game. Garrett then said that Randle left the facilities after that with permission for what he labeled “personal issues”. Garrett declined to go into detail on what those issues are.
