Unofficial results from all 18 precincts show Creek Nation Principal Chief George Tiger has lost his bid for re-election.

The Creek Nation website shows that James Floyd has beaten Tiger in a landslide with 62 percent of the vote.

Tiger had been the subject of ire from the tribal council, which approved a “no confidence” vote in his ability to lead the tribe.

A petition for Tiger’s impeachment was circulated after it was revealed this summer he signed a contract in 2009 with a developer of a Broken Arrow casino project that would have competed with the Creek Nation's Tulsa casino.

He announced his re-election bid a few months later.

We will have more on 6 In The Morning on Sunday.
