The Rogers County Sheriff's Office arrested a man they say confessed to killing his girlfriend.
That confession came just hours after her naked body was found in a ditch.
Investigators said it was in a rural part of Mays County. Someone driving found the victim’s body and called police.
At first, investigators didn't have a lot to go on.
Rogers County Deputy Shane Rhames said, "It literally did start off, the first few hours, just as an unidentified female with no way of identifying her."
But, hours later, deputies focused in on a house in Chelsea.
They said David William Glover II lives there and that he confessed to killing 39-year-old Holly May Licano and dumping her body in an area of Mayes County just past the Rogers County line.
”It took a while but he finally admitted to his role in the incident and causing her death," Rhames said.
“Right before Christmas we are about to make a death notification to a family that’s not going to want to hear what they are going to hear," said Rogers County Sheriff, Scott Walton.
As for motive, investigators said Glover only told them it was an argument that escalated.
The medical examiner will make the official call on cause of death.
Rhames said, "Everybody pitched in and Chelsea PD helped out with some background investigation we were able to put this together pretty quick."
