Former Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin is campaigning with Donald Trump in Tulsa on Wednesday - a day after officially endorsing his bid for the White House.
The rally was scheduled to start at the Mabee Center on the Oral Roberts University campus at noon, but Trump's plane didn't land at Tulsa International Airport until then.
After landing, Trump and Palin stayed on the plane, and Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin was seen boarding. The trio and Trump's entourage all deplaned and got into waiting SUVs about 20 minutes later.
You had to have a ticket to attend the rally. Attendees registered online at EventBrite, then were emailed a link to print off a physical ticket - or they downloaded the ticket on your phone.
The event is free, and about 9,000 people registered to attend. Doors opened at 10 a.m. and there are 7,000 seats with standing room available.
Our reporters on the scene say the fanfare at the Mabee Center is unique and eccentric. One woman was wearing an entire dress made up of pictures of Trump, and people have been cheering and chanting all morning long.
The visit comes as Trump is making the evangelical circuit. He's been speaking at Christian colleges across the country this week. So far, it seems as though the crowd at ORU is a mix of students and supporters.
ORU tweeted the following announcement Wednesday morning:
Please be aware that we are expecting a large number of guests on campus Wednesday morning, January 20. The large crowd will affect all parking in the A and B lots and all areas around the Mabee Center. We are asking that all faculty, staff and students enter and exit campus primarily from the Lewis Avenue entrance by the Praying Hands. Please drive up the hill where parking will be available for students in the H lot. Faculty and staff will be allowed to drive down into G lot for parking.
The gate by the Security Booth on Evelyn Roberts Drive will be closed at 9 a.m. and will not reopen until after 12 p.m. If you arrived on campus before 9 a.m. and would still like to park in the regular staff parking areas you may do so, but be aware that you will need to exit through the upper lot to avoid traffic that is expected around the Security booth.
We appreciate your patience as we accommodate our campus guests.
