A wildfire burned through brush and threatened a barn near Mannford City Lake Monday afternoon.
Mannford Police said the fire was in the area of 41st Street and Highway 48. A dispatcher said the fire was in a rural area, but that there are some homes in that area. As of of 4:30 p.m. there were no reports of any structures being burned.
News On 6 anchor Meagan Farley said firefighters had the fire 99% contained by 4:40 p.m. They said the flames had burned at least 60 acres and that they were watching hot spots.
People who live in the area because it's the same place where a huge wildfire burned dozens of homes in the summer of 2012.
