The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three people are in Tulsa hospitals after a head-on collision near Chelsea Tuesday evening.
Troopers said the 6 p.m. crash happened on Highway 28 near the intersection with East-West 32 Road about two miles north of Chelsea.
The OHP says a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse, driven by Angel Roberto Sanchez-Castellon, 36, of Tulsa was headed south when he went left of center and struck a northbound 2004 Honda Accord, driven by Brooklyn Sammarco, 24, of Chelsea. A passenger in her car, Sara Pollard, 24, of Rogers, Arkansas was taken to a Tulsa hospital by ambulance and a two-year-old passenger in the backseat was not injured.
Troopers said Sanchez-Castellon and Sammarco are listed in critical condition and Pollard in stable condition.
The OHP said both drivers were pinned in their cars and had to be freed by the Chelsea Fire Department and then flown by helicopter to Tulsa.
In their report, troopers stated the driver of the Mitsubishi Eclipse had an odor of alcohol.
