Thanks to the Enviro Expo Day in downtown Tulsa, dozens now know more about our environment.
Friday is Earth Day around the world; it's a day to celebrate the environment.
But in Tulsa, Wednesday was Enviro Expo Day – kind of a pre-Earth Day information fair. The city manager even brought a proclamation from the mayor.
The expo provides an opportunity to discover some of what's new - like Francis Renewable Energy, a new company working on big ideas.
"Making some of our power with renewable sources - like solar, which is one of the things we work on, as well as in the building industry, making those buildings more efficient with geothermal systems as well," Seth Christ said.
There was a little something there for everyone.
Graham Brannin, the executive director of the Metropolitan Environmental Trust, said we all have a stake in a healthy environment.
"Everyone can do a little something; not everyone can do it all," she said.
This is the 18th Enviro Expo in Tulsa; a couple of dozen groups and organizations offering an opportunity for a renewed focus on environmental stewardship.
