A small plane landed on Memorial Drive at East 121st Street South Thursday afternoon.
Bixby Police said the pilot was the only person on board the single-engine Cessna. They said no one was hurt.
Federal Aviation Administration records show the airplane is a Cessna 150. FAA records show the registration is pending, which indicates it may have been sold recently. The new owner is listed as an Indiana resident.
Video from Osage SkyNews 6 HD showed damage to the left wing where the airplane collided with a road sign in front of the QuikTrip.
Police pushed the plane onto the grass to get it out of traffic.
Paul Jackson told News On 6 he was driving when he saw the airplane. "He was heading south, flying very low and dropping altitude. When he touched down, he hit a sign, spun and nosed over a bit before coming up resting and facing north," Jackson wrote.
Jackson said the airplane flew right over him and his car before landing.
"It was about 100 yards ahead of me so I went up and parked in the QuikTrip parking lot and got out of my car to check on him while waiting on 911 to answer," Jackson said.
