A woman was shot in the leg in north Tulsa on Saturday evening as she attended an outdoor family party.
Tulsa police said several family members, including children, were at a home in the 300 block of West 48th Street North when they started hearing loud noises they thought were fireworks until they realized someone was shooting at them.
TPD said a woman in her late 30s was hit in the calf. Her injuries are non-life threatening and she was stable when she was transported to a local hospital.
Police said someone a few houses down started shooting at the group that was outside, and it was clear they were a target, although it is not known why.
About 10-15 rounds from a small caliber handgun were recovered from the scene, a police spokesperson said.
TPD currently is looking for the shooter, who ran away southbound. The police helicopter and K9 officers are tracking him.
The description of the shooter was limited.
