Tulsa City Councilor GT Bynum has defeated incumbent mayor Dewey Bartlett by a wide margin, according to unofficial results.
The Oklahoma State Election Board says Bynum reached 56 percent of the vote to Bartlett’s 38 percent.
Bartlett was a two-term mayor. He called to concede the election to Bynum and congratulated him on a good win.
Bynum will take office in December.
