Wagoner students are headed back to class, and to save money - this is the first year the district is trying a four-day school week. Superintendent Randy Harris says he really hasn't got a lot of push back from parents, either in person or online.
When Wagoner starts class Thursday morning, a school year of big changes begins.
The district's four-day school week will be Tuesday through Friday, 8:10 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. They are starting a week earlier than they did last year; they're going to have a full week off for Thanksgiving - all the while saving up to $200,000 this year.

Because of the lack of funding, Harris says it was either a four-day week, or they would have had to let 20 positions go.
The superintendent said the Latchkey organization in Wagoner will be an option for families on Mondays. Latchkey will provide before and after school activities and at least lunch for kids during the day.
To sign up, there's a link on Wagoner Schools' website. There is a fee.
At last check, Harris says up to 40 students were signed up.
